Another Successful Night

So tonight was another couponing extravaganza for my sister and I! We went to three Walgreens and one Rite Aid. Here's the outcome:

Total Retail Value: $222
Total I Spent: $42
Total Savings: $180

Not bad! I think my dreams will be filled with the "beeping" of coupons because we heard SO many tonight!

How do the cashiers react when they see all those coupons and savings? It is all pretty amazing!

Some cashiers are supportive and some are annoyed.

Chelley, they don't have coupons? This kind of deal takes a lot of internet research from the "experts" and you have to use a coupon when there is a great sale.

Like the shampoo was buy one get one free, then I had 2 coupons for $2 of each shampoo.....making it 2 shampoos for $1.

Anyway, it's like a science and a fun challenge. I feel like we should be on a game show with it. We walk in now and people are like, "OH, hi you guys" like they know us. Embarrassing.

Are most of the things at Rite Aid mail in refunds where you have to wait a couple of weeks to get your money refunded to you?

I really need to do this- where do you get your coupons, on line or do you go to Walgreens and pick up a book? With all your spare time you should keep us up on when to go coupon shopping HA HA HA

I get coupons from the Sunday paper mostly. But Rite Aid, Walgreens and CVS also have great in store coupons that you definitely use!

Janessa, I often do the rebates because you can get LOTS of stuff free after rebate if you are patient. Rite Aid and Walgreens rebates are SO easy because it's all done online! If you combine a coupon with a rebate, THAT is where you can get a killer deal!

I only do this once a week usually. Instead of going out to dinner or a movie, LIndy and I will spend an evening doing THIS! It's funny how therapeutic and fun it is. But only if you do the research online before-hand. There are people out there who study this weeks ahead of time, so why re-invent the wheel when you can just copy what they do!

By the way, this picture doesn't contain a single rebate item, all of this was sales combined with coupons.

I really wish I knew someone as interested in doing it as you 2, cuz I am not as motivated to try it by myself!

Awesome. Isn't it so therapeutic? I feel that I would rather go on my shopping trips than go to dinner and a movie. It's that much fun. Last week I was able to get 25 sure deodorants and 14 bottles of shampoo for 2.92.. awesome!! I had to laugh because all of the cashiers know me at CVS !!

I don't think I have ever used a coupon and I totally want to try this. You said people research this online. What site are you checking out first? Great Job!
