April 2019

Jordyn's 17th Birthday!

We had a little family party where my mom made yummy dinner with filet mignon.  I made Jordyn's request of home made Oreo ice cream.  And I took her and her dance friends on an outing to dinner, a movie, and a mindfulness class with Hannah.

Tucker and I did a project together!  We built benches for our dining table.  Next, we want to build a table.  We did a pretty good job working together!

Recital Planning Overnight - we went to Chuckchansi where there was adjoining hotel rooms, and brought food.  I initiated this a couple years ago because we get SOOO much done in 24 hours instead of little conversations here and there.  It really helps.  We leave this retreat having a timeline planned, theme/cover designed, details delegated, and decisions made.  This year it was me, Lauren, Dana, Jen, Michelle and Berta.

Jen and her sticky notes :-)

My babies, my Pey and Gigi.

For Jordyn's birthday, we went to Magic Mountain as a family.  It was a really fun day, a little rainy, very short lines, and we went on SO many rides!

Peyton, Jo Jo and Bryn.         -         Jill and I being silly dances moms

Trying to copy Neal with my flower planters!

Another little quick project - spontaneous as always - my mom had this shelf forever and it was an oak color.  We were goin to get rid of it, but instead I painted it real quick and like how it looks right in that spot!

More competition!  Disturbia, Crawl Outta Love, Money (trio), You Say

Another project!  I added wainscoting to the dining area.  I like how it looks.  Lexi thinks it looks like a hospital waiting room for some reason.

Before and After

We really tried to pack it in during spring break.  Lived in this house for like 3 years and Lexi's room was still not done.

Cleaned the laundry room!  Hard to keep it nice with 5 other humans who don't seem to care haha

Kristy and the human dog Gigi

Kids really wanted to go to the beach, but we didn't want the long drive, so we went to Millerton Lake, only 40 min away.  It was fun!  Jordyn also filmed a hilarious vlog where they had us do a dance competition.

Easter 2019!  And I made a cute easter grass cake.

Surprised my mom with matching dresses, and she LOVED it!

Gigi still barks at my dad like she just met him

We actually did the Easter egg contest for the first time in YEARS

The final competition of the year, Velocity, was just for Jo and Lex, so Peyton and Tucker stayed home.

On the way, we drove by Magic Mountain and I had the spontaneous idea to stop by and go in for the last couple hours!  We had season passes and it was free and totally dead!  The girls thought I was crazy but I've been doing spontaneous things like that with Magic Mountain since I was a junior in High School!

We got a HUGE suite to share with Jill, and Corrina, Kaydence, Diana, Chloee and me & my girls.  It was actually really fun.

Then it was my 42nd bday.  I had eye pads, a new coffee mug, and dinner with Tucker!

Had to take GiGi to the vet and couldn't help but take a pic of her little scared face!
