Long story as to why we picked tile (wood floor was my first choice), but we recently replaced 700 sq feet of gross carpet and cheap linoleum with tile. I've always been known to express my dislike for tile, so the choice is an interesting one for me (again, long story). But it does look better, will have better up-keep and, when the time comes, it will re-sale better than what we had. Check it out.

Looks great, I'd like the long story. Sometimes anything is better than yucky carpet. I borrowed a shampooer from a friend and spent two weeks cleaning every sqare inch of carpet we have. I think I threw my shoulder out but I know it won't be long before it looks gross again. I would die for wood as well. I am gonna have to wait for a long time for that one!
It looks good. For some reason, I thought you left carpet in your living room. So, where does the tile end?
Jamie. . .I think it looks fantastic. We don't have carpet in our house either. It really helps with keeping the house cool. And get a good mop. That is one thing that is a bit more of a pain than carpet.
Wow! Looks so good! You are probably glad it is all over now. I know you'll like it so much more than all the carpet. I have never been a huge fan of tile, but I have really liked mine so far. Just mopping is a pain.
It looks great!
I love it! I can tell from the pictures how much it changes the whole feel of the home! Everyone I know swears by a swiffer, I never got too into it, (I couldn't get over how much it costs for those stupid wet wipes, but with your shopping skills, it might not be an issue), and it did work really great on the tile.
yep, i can say, after actually seeing it, that it looks GREAT, jamie! takes some getting used to, i'm sure, but it is beautiful tile!
that must have been a big project but it looks great!
It looks fantastic! Did you guys do it yourself?
