Lexi's Field Trip to SaveMart

I love that I am often available to go on field trips with the girls. Lexi had a simple field trip last week where her class walked maybe 1/2 a mile to our grocery store, SaveMart. They got a cool tour of the "behind the scenes" of the grocery store. And they even got to pet a lobster (Lexi was not interested), taste some healthy food and see the box-smasher in action. It was fun!

I bet the kids really loved the box-smasher!

Boy, things must have changed a lot since we moved. There wasn't a SaveMart there two years ago, was there? I only remember Albertson's and that other one (I forget the name) down near the post office.

Carly, Albertsons changed to SaveMart maybe 18 months ago and we've all hated it since :-(

That is such a good idea to go on a field trip to savemart. They look so cute in their little hats.

How darling? I would have never thought of a trip to the grocery store for the kids. But it sounds like a good learning experience for them to see how things run behind the scenes of something so ordinary as a grocery store. I love that idea! Lexi looks so cute too, I love her big smile!

This was so cute! It brought back great memories of doing this with Ashlyn when she was in kindergarten. She had the exact same color of T-shirt and that same teacher, too! In fact, she sometimes wears that school shirt for pajamas.
