Somehow, I never tired of taking pictures with my 4th baby. Roxy is the best dog ever!!
Just a couple pictures of all our team earrings! First picture is clip ons, second is regular. I guess if someone asks if I have any financial worth, I can show them all our dance costumes!
Rehearsing teen lyrical, "Come to This".
I made Jordyn a shadow box frame of her and the day she met Ruth B (her favorite singer) and the phone case Ruth B signed for her.
Changing jobs mid year was one of the hardest things I've done. It was emotional, scary, and hard. I disappointed a lot of people, and basically abandoned my students. But we were in financial woes, and a full time job opening came up (not something that happens every day) in Fresno. I left Kings County mid-contract, which means they can report you to the California Teachers Commission (and the jerks DID). But they knew I needed full time (or at least enough time to get benefits) and I had asked for it for like a year. They wouldn't do it. But of course they did for the new girl they ended up hiring months later. Anyway, I think I ended up where I needed to be. But going from a 50% position to full time was a definite transition.
I love that Roberta designs many of the team costumes, with her own original sketches. Someday, I want to frame them for her.
My mom crocheted me a HUGE blanket! I love it!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching these two dance together. These are from their duet "scares you".
The story feels so much more intense than I can really explain. But we were letting the bunny (Brownie) hop around the backyard. I suddenly heard screaming and realized that Rusty got out into the backyard while the bunny was running around we all know that means a DEAD BUNNY. So I got up and started running out to the backyard like a MANIAC. Tucker and Lexi were behind me. I was screaming at Rusty and running so much faster than my huge winter boots could move...so before I knew it, my upper body was barreling forward and I couldn't stop it. I flew...FLEW...onto the cement and somehow missed my face ramming into the back fence. But I landed so hard on my knees and wrist that I swore I broke bones. Tucker and lexi briefly stopped to help me and I screamed at them "go get RUSTY!!!!!!". Some how, angels helped us and Lexi was able to grab Rusty and we saved the bunny. She had bloody toenails from ripping them out along the fence as she was running away from the insane dog. Man it was traumatic! I really had painful and banged up knees for months after that!
Another one of my baby. I love her bangs soooo much.
Just a picture of me during my first few weeks on the job at Fresno Unified.
From having the most stressful year ever, getting older, and who knows why else...my hair started thinning so badly. I was freaking out and using Rogaine. In the mean time, I bought some extensions to try. They looked good! But they also felt so...THERE. Like obvious and maybe like wearing a hat? Where you really can't wait to take it off so your head can breathe.
Lexi's obsession with La La Land continued for a long time. I took her and her friend Bella to see it again.
Team showcase day!!!
And Miss Jessie came to surprise us with baby Aten!!
Painting boxes for "Surprise". I built these darn boxes from scratch and they were quite the project!
Captured a sunny day that I was working and FORGOT my sunglasses! Hate that on bright days since I'm outside so much!
Peyton and Jordyn in Gym Class
They all won a gym challenge!
Annnnnd...here are the SURPRISE costumes that Roberta designed!
Both Lyrical costumes for Miss Jen's dances! The following are all pics from dress rehearsal.
