By day 5, I felt my energy slowing down a bit…but not my desire to be with everyone. Which is a good thing! That morning, Tucker got to fit in his third round of golf with his dad and Jeff Gertson. His lifelong goal is to beat his dad, and he has YET to do it. That’s all I hear about for at least an hour after he returns home from the game.
Later that afternoon around 4:00 we all gathered at Maren’s house in Herriman. It was there that we bbq’d for dinner and just did lots more of hanging out.
The kids had their own awards ceremony where Emmi handed out award ribbons and prizes for “The most Wild cousin” and things like that. I’ll have to ask the girls to remind me what they won. It was really cute.
Next, Jeannine presented the Family Reunion “surprise” t-shirts. Sort of last minute, we found a screen printing company in Salt Lake that could get the shirts back to us in ONE day (incredible!), so I quickly designed a logo and we had them printed up. The theme Maren had picked for our week was “Strength, Courage, Endurance”, so that’s what the shirts said. They looked great on everyone and after putting them on, we marched outside to attempt some family photo shoots.
It went amazingly well too! Got some great pics!
This is our “crazy” shot. I laugh every time I see it.
