My Flower Project

I wanted to do something memorable with the kids in 1st grade before my time with them is up....so we planted flowers around a tree outside their door. They absolutely LOVED it! And I painted this little wooden sign for Mrs. Garza. It was the most beautiful day, and hopefully it will stay that way so our little flowers will live!

What a great way to leave something of YOU and also that the class can feel proud of!

You are so talented. Looks like the kids enjoyed it and I'm sure they will feel a sense of accomplishment every time they pass that area.

i'm so behind on blogging! it has been fun catching up on all your happenings! how do you find time to still be such a good blogger?! jamie, you are certainly, certainly leaving a special handprint on the lives of these little ones. it may seem very frustrating or overwhelming at times (especially when you feel aware of your weaknesses), but i can only imagine how much they love you and will miss you. teachers, GOOD teachers, have that impact. and to be able to still give your family so much of yourself at the same time -- it's pretty remarkable! i'm so proud of you!!

You are SO creative. This is wonderful!!! And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the next post with your mom and Pey, that is priceless. Seriously a HUGE blessing to have that. Seems like no matter our circumstance, God always makes it possible for our kids to get what they need when we never give up and do all that we can. Sorry I have not mailed your gift yet, check my blog to see Josh, (I'm going on 2 hrs of sleep right now, paritally my fault and part Josh) Sorry, I'm a bit behind on everything not Josh-related. :) Love you!

I love your green thumb! That is something very special for the kids to do. You are brave to attempt such a thing with so many kids. I bet Mrs. Garza and the kids loved it!

What a cute idea to do with your school kids. You have always been really good with flowers. I can't wait for it to finally turn spring around here because I am dying for some color. I wish I had your eye for flowers and color arranging.
