Saturday July 31st was my mom’s 56th birthday. We got to celebrate with a bbq and swimming (what we do best!).
Kids could swim endlessly at Grandma and Grandpa’s. Even Pax and Pey have joined in confidently this year (well, with the help of floaties and a safety-seal!). Paxton will not let my dad leave his side. Actually, none of the kids will! All you hear echoing from the backyard for hours is “GRANDPA GRANDPA”. It’s a true test for someone who gets over-stimulated easily. Ha ha.
Dad BBQd rib-eye steaks. We made garlic bread, salad, zucchini, and sliced watermelon. I made Texas chocolate sheet-cake for dessert with some Breyer’s Ice cream. Yum.
Baby Kylee slept a lot. And the kids all made Grandma homemade cards. Jordyn added her own flair of gifts. She went “shopping” around her room and chose some of her favorite things to give to grandma. A note pad, a cup, a ceramic apple she made, a “G” made out of pipe cleaners and a special homemade book. Kids love to give.
