Blessing

Typically in our church, babies are blessed within the first few months of life, and it's done on Sunday during church. But we've decided to do it a little different this time around. We decided to wait until a weekend that Tucker's family could fly in from out of state, which ended up being next weekend, March 17th. We also have decided to bless Pey at home on Saturday. We want it to be a calm, relaxing day filled with lots of family and lots of good food! We're so excited to have family come visit and to have a full house of the ones we love. Here's a pic of her blessing dress I bought on ebay!

edited to add: i can't use the dress i used for the other girls because pey out-grew it during her first month!! ha ha

What a beautiful dress!! It's gorgeous!! I didn't know you could have blessings at home until just a couple of days ago. I think that makes it so special. Wow. I think you are right that it does make it so much more relaxed and that's awesome that Tucker's family could come from Utah. It looks like you will be having a wonderful weekend ahead of you. Can't wait to read the post.

That dress is soo pretty. Have you bought one for each of the girls? I was just planning to use the same one for baby boy #2. Mostly because we were in a different place and no one from here was really at the blessing. And the idea of doing it at home seems nice AND easy!

I loved blessing Cooper at home. It was so much more relaxed and enjoyable.

We've had family members who have done their blessings at home and there really is such a nice, calm feeling. It sounds like it will be really special, surrounded by so many people who you love and who love your family! The dress is ADORABLE too! Be sure to take some pictures of little Peyton in it so we can see!

We blessed B at home and it was really a neat experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I love the dress! Good luck with everything! Jill
