Thanksgiving in Utah 2015

So, this year we were leaving for Utah two days before Lexi's 12th birthday...and so we decided to give her a birthday present early, that way she could enjoy it on the drive.  She was thrilled to get her first iPod!!

In Vegas, we made a quick stop at Bahama Bucks!

On our first day, we were so excited to go boot shopping with Emmi!  Before shopping, we stopped at had a hamburger from a little drive-in down the street from Gam & Pa's.  Of course, while we were there, Pa ran into a few people he knows. It never fails!  It's the strangest thing, and Jeannine and I laugh because we are more prone to hide from someone we know in the grocery store, and Neal wants to get their entire geneology!

It worked out perfectly that Carly was giving a presentation in her psychology class, and invited me to come watch.  It was awesome! I loved being able to see her in her element.

A few fun photos from Lexi's birthday...Gam photobombing

And of course traditional bread making with Gam!

Carly hanging out and playing games

Loved catching a pic of Tucker copying his dad ha ha

And the bread is done!!  Look how yummy!!!

Maren had the idea to do gingerbread houses with our kids.  It was fun because we involved everyone from the 5 year old to the 16 year old!

And the best part was that we knew it would take forever to glue together the houses with frosting, so Maren had the brilliant idea to hot glue them together!  It worked perfectly!

Such cute cousins!

We also got a few hours with Tiff, Eliza and Sol.  Love them so much!

THANKSGIVING DAY - Bowling Tradition

This is the best, look at the height difference!

No one could totally get over Pa wearing his "swim trunks" bowling in the freeeeeezing cold weather.

Back at the house, the yummy food is coming together with the fabulous kitchen crew!

Everyone certainly loves to look at all of Gam's photo books.

And after all the hard work, the long hours of cooking, the delicious food and cleaning it up, what else is there to do but games!

We didn't visit many friends this time, but I'm glad we got to scoot on over to Katie's for a few hours since her mom was in town visiting. I haven't seen her in years!  It was fun to catch up and also to see Theresa, who grew up with us in corcoran as well.  She was our babysitter, and like Karla's other daughter pretty much.

Another successful Utah trip for the books! Always thankful to our fabulous host and hostess for making us feel so loved and welcomed each and every time we are there!  We love you Gam and Pa!
