The BIG Summer Dance Recital for Grandma's Birthday!

So the dance recital day was finally here! This is become an annual tradition. Jordyn choreographs dances for everyone and they put on a show for my moms birthday. Each year, it gets a little more official, and shows off a little more talent. This year was no exception. Jordyn started thinking of songs back in March, and started cutting each song way before summer. Lindy and her kids arrive June 9, so they had about five weeks to practice before we went to Utah. Without exaggeration, all the kids combined probably put in easily 60 hours worth of work into the show. I am so impressed with the dedication of each of the children to learning their dances, practicing, and spending hours in the studio. And I am extra impressed with Jordyn's ability to not only choreograph 10 dances, but to direct all the children and keep them on track in order to get the show completed in time!

To say the show is perfect would be an understatement. We were able to hold it at the dance company this year, and it was so beautiful and so well put together, and I don't think my mom and dad could have possibly love them more.

Peyton, Kylee, Lyric, Alyson, Lexi, and Jordyn did a solo. Paxton and Peyton did a duet, Lyric and Lexi did a duet, & Alyson, Lexi, Lyric, and Jordyn all were in a quartet. And then there was a group number. They were all beautiful!

We also asked Molly to be our announcer, which was so helpful. She did the announcing, helped with make up, and any other things Jordyn needed.

I'm so proud of each of you children!
