So, at one point in the dance season, Jill and I started teasing about What Would Hannah Do - WWHD? We told the girls that is what they should think about in any rehearsal. Hannah has extremely high expectations of them and pushes them to their fullest potential...so it became kind of a joke.
Well, eventually, toward the end of the dance season, Hannah announced that she would be pursuing her choreography career and would be around a lot less next year. It was a very tearful announcement and she went to each girl and told them something special about them.
Soon after that, we decided that we wanted to immortalize this whole WWHD concept...and make the girls all T-Shirts with WWHD on them. Not only that, but we decided to take it a step further and have each girl come up with a few things that WWHD meant to them, and then present it to Hannah.
It worked out so perfectly. We told her the girls had something for her, and then she walked in and the girls were all lined up with their backs to her. They turned around and surprised her by having the shirts on. Then, they each went down the line and tearfully told her what WWHD meant to them (what she has taught them). It was a really special moment.
