Lexi's 10th Birthday!

Welcome to the double digits Lexi!

At Clay school, it's a big deal to have a birthday because the entire school sings Happy Birthday to you!  The 4th grade teacher, Mr. Heinrichs, has his guitar out faithfully each morning to sing to whomever may have a birthday.  The kids love it.  I came to school early with the kids so I could get a few pictures of Lexi's "moment".

Lexi with Susanna.

We had a little party for Lexi at Grandma's the day before we left for Utah to spend Thanksgiving there.

The kids like to pose for pics, can you tell?

I made Lexi this purple sweater with a quote she had picked out..."I only dance in days that end in "Y".  She loved it.

The next day (which was the day before her birthday) we left for Utah.  We stayed overnight in St George and then arrived at the Thurston's on Lexi's birthday.  Beth and I baked a very colorful Dr. Seuss type cake for Lex and we had a really fun Maxfield/Thurston gathering....as usual.

We sure love you Lexi! You are still our butterfly!!
