I had to include these pics from Jeannine’s blog that are different than pics I had. I also have to admit that I copied a lot of her words along with the pics! She is often so much more descriptive than I have patience to be!
Saturday morning began with this picture of Emmi and Peyton. It was no surprise when Peyton had to sleep in the same room with Emmi. Those two are attached at the hip and that friendship and love between those two cousins will continue and will be long remembered by both.
Emmi always trusts me to trim her bangs. Which makes me nervous!
After the morning rituals of breakfast, brushing teeth, getting dressed, etc. I asked Emmi if she would be willing to watch the three girls while Jeannine and I ran a few errands. We knew we could go much faster without the three younger ones but we also were sensitive to the fact that Emmi is 16 and would enjoy hanging out with the adults. We headed to Talbots to return a dress, then to the mall to pick up Jeannine’s Gucci watch, then to GNC and then to Home Depot and Target. Our shopping was quick and successful. I bought Emmi an ITunes card for watching the girls.
Neal and Tucker went golfing and apparently Neal beat Tucker soundly. So far Tucker has one win under his belt. Everyone returned home about lunch time and we had a bite to eat. Maren, Greg and the kids arrived just after lunch and all the kids went swimming. Maren left a bout 5:30 for home and work.
The rest of the evening was spent playing games. We play Shanghai until Lyndsy and James arrived and then we played 6 Handed Rook (which I might add – I won). Then we play Nickels to Nickels until 12:30. It was a fun day with lots of family coming and going.
This always makes me smile. Modern technology does not interfere even when playing games!
Lynda Ann and I wanted to go to the Wood Connection. There isn’t a store in California that matches what this little store. Lots of good ideas of items to make and sell! We had a fun time wandering through the store. I won the prize for the biggest purchase!
When we got back all the kids decided they wanted to go swimming – so off to the pool.
After swimming we came in and the table games began.
Two extra people at the table: on the left of the picture Derek – Emmi’s (boy) friend, and on the right is Carly (Jamie’s sister).
Lynda Ann and Jamie wanted to go to the Wood Connection. Jamie said there isn’t a store in California that matches what we have here at this little store. She gets lots of good ideas of items to make and sell at her boutique. We had a fun time wandering through the store. Jamie won the prize for the biggest purchase!

Tucker spent a lot of time helping Jeannine and Neal buy and set up their new iPhones. We are so excited to text them without the 10 cent charge each time!
