I've never had a baby wrap, sling or anything like that with my other kids when they were little. But I've had the desire to try something of the sort (maybe to free up a hand or two!) with Peyton. My good friend Tiffany has tried lots of them and she swears by the Mei Tai baby carrier, so I ordered one from http://www.alongfortheride.biz/mei-tai-category-s/43.htm and I'm so excited! I think it will be a hit and seems pretty comfy so far.

Baby Wearing
I've never had a baby wrap, sling or anything like that with my other kids when they were little. But I've had the desire to try something of the sort (maybe to free up a hand or two!) with Peyton. Jamie- Babywearing is great. I used one with Lauren and am going to start using one with Michael. I've never seen one like yours. It looks really cool. Do you get to pick the fabric?
From looking at your picture, I think you need to tie the first tie around your waist, put the babe in and pull the MT up so it goes up as high as you want it, then tie the 2nd tie around her back, not under her butt. This should give you enough room so the MT goes to the back of her head. Let me know if it works better.

Also, spread the straps out it little more...closer to your shoulders. This will distribute the weight a little better. I don't like it when it feels like the straps are too close to my neck. Within a week or so, you will know how you like to wear it and it will feel like an extension of you. I walked around for a few hours with E in her new carrier today. I figured out how to tie it how I like it. I need to take those little pass along cards with me. People were asking again!
