This is the Post that Never Ends…

When my computer broke…a part of me broke down too.  It ended up being at Toshiba’s fixing center for an entire MONTH!  That was so extreme.  Then, combine that with my Nikon camera being broken…and you just have a really poor blogger!  This will be my catch-all post for the last two months.  I’m sure I’ll miss a ton of things, but at least this is the highlight version, right?!  And all of these pictures are cell phone pictures to boot!   C’est la vie!!

HORSEBACK RIDING AT SHAVER LAKE

The girls have asked to go horseback riding forever.  So we took the money they earned from selling their baby bunnies and took a family outing!  It was really a beautiful, relaxing and fun day.  They loved it!

SHANA

These are pretty random pics…but Shana and Derek spent a few days here in the valley so the girls got to hang out with her beautiful kids and have some fun.

SCHOOL

I had to collate a TON of binders, tab dividers and label it all for my O&M program.  This is what we draw from for our content each week…but the cool part is it will all be useful in various parts of the job too.

PEY AND AVA

Peyton sure loves her friend Ava!

DANCE

Girls all started dance.  Pey is taking a hip hop/Jazz class.  And Jordyn and Lex are each taking a Ballet, Jazz and a Progressions class (turns & jumps).  No competition teams this year tho.

JR GLEE

Lexi is doing a weekly Jr. Glee class.  She loves it so much!  Her good friend Makenna is in it with her too.  Lexi actually wanted to try out for a solo…so she tried out for their first song (Glee’s version of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”"), but she didn’t make it.  I was SO proud of her for auditioning.  And then she auditioned AGAIN for the next song (Glee’s version of “Lean on Me”) and she got a part!   Woo hoo Lex!!!

CAR WASH

This is funny and embarrassing to admit, but my girls have seldom experience the “good old fashioned” way to wash cars.  How sad, huh?  So we did all three cars and they LOVED it!

SUBBING

I’ve been subbing quite a bit lately!  Maybe on average 2 days per week.  Which, on one hand, I love.  And, on the other hand, it makes life stressful too.  Makes for crazy days.  I especially love when I can sub at my girls’ schools…but more specifically their classrooms.  These pics are from a day in Lexi’s classroom.  So cute to see her and her sweet friends do all the hand-jive games like I used to do.  Lexi is quite the social butterfly and has gained a REALLY sweet group of friends this second time around in 2nd grade.

TRINKETS

Still keeping up with my signs.  Lexi snapped some pics of me re-doing one of my walls at Trinkets…up on a ladder :-)

PEY AND KAYLA
Peyton loves her little friend Kayla.  They go to preschool together and so often Amir (Kayla’s dad) and I will switch girls and let them hang out for the day.  Cute, sweet girls.

HELPERS!
Jordyn and Peyton helped me unwrap, price and display some new merchandise for Trinkets.  They spent (well, mostly Jordyn) at least 2 hours doing it!  Big helpers!  Jordyn cannot wait to sell her own things someday ;-)

GRANDPARENTS DAY

We had our third grandparents day in Mrs. Stone’s class.  So thankful my parents were able to come!  Mrs. Stone asked if Lexi’s other grandparents were going to be able to come….we sure wish it wasn’t so far for a special afternoon! I’m sure they’d be there in a heartbeat if it was possible!

MASTER’S PROGRAM
This is me and Grace, my first partner.  We switch partners every 6-8 weeks.  Grace and I have spent LOTS and LOTS of hours going up and down hallways with our canes and blindfolds.  It’s amazing how quickly you can get used to traveling independently with a cane!  School is still hard but fun. Hard to fit it in and get there, but I just really love what I’m learning and can’t wait to see where it leads me and what people I will meet in the future because of it.

This pink thing is also my first “tactile map” of the route I have to teach my partner next week.

KYLEE

Pey and I love the times we get to have Kylee hang out with us when everyone else is at school.  This was a day where we went to Home Depot with her.  She did NOT love the saw cutting the wood, but she loved the card and sitting by Pey!

THE LUAU

Mrs. Stone’s famous annual luau.  They travel across America in their classroom, so this is one of their stops. It’s a very fun afternoon and she might just love it more than anyone else!  I’m so glad I get to be a part of things like this.

THE BIG FRESNO FAIR

Tucker had to be gone over a weekend where I happened to not have school, so I loaded up the girls and we spent a few hours in Mexico at the Fresno Fair.  It was sort of hot, crowded and a LOT of walking.  But fun too.

TETHER BALL

I guess tether ball is pretty big at Jordyn’s new school Reagan.  At least it is for the 4th graders.  Sounds like she’s pretty darn good and can beat even the best players.  So after a couple months of begging for a tether ball, I finally got one.  I figured it is great exercise, so why not.  It’s been overall great.  Not great with little kids maybe 3 and under – when Kylee is walking around it could really knock her out!  And it does introduce more fighting, balls slamming into faces and rules to enforce.  But the pros are outweighing the cons.

THIRTY-NINE!

Tucker’s 39th bday was last week.  Seems like we hardly see each other these days and squeezing in a birthday isn’t easy.  But we ended up having a good day.  He took the day off and we were able to spend the day together in Fresno.  He got some work clothing, we had lunch and we picked out the tile for our bathroom floors.  Then we had dinner and cake with the girls that night.  A few days later, Lindy and family came over for a Sunday afternoon home-made cake as well.  Hope your last year in your thirties treats you great Tucker :-)

BUNNIES
There is so much I haven’t said about our bunny fiasco.  But basically, after 8 babies, we are left with one baby (now three months old) plus the mom and dad.  The baby is a boy, so we have to do something quick if we don’t want more babies!!  They are sweet, soft and cute…while at the same time high-maintenance, scratchy and fast!

DENTIST!

Girls had a check up and this was actually Pey’s first official check up.   Everyone looked great!

FAMILY

Messing around with my mom’s new Android phone, we had Jordyn take a pic of us.  Or I should say, 10 pics of us and they kept not working right. This still didn’t make the “cut” and I have been instructed to NOT put this on FB!  But the blog is ok.  Love my mom and sister, and I feel blessed to have them.

So glad to finally have a post. Been wondering where you have been. I know you are so busy but I like to keep up on you. Some of your comments make me laugh so hard- like the fair in "mexico". I love that Pey's Ava looks similar to ours. I can't even comment on the bunnies- nightmare- I don't know how you do all you do.

Sounds like you've been busy. Loved seeing all the pictures. Tell Jordyn awesome job at tetherball! I used to play that, too, when I was in grade school and really liked it.

I love posts that never end! They are a lot like my texts and emails :) This was so fun to read! The horse back riding looks like the funnest thing!! You are the right person to ask to help with a luau -- it looks so fun! And I love the pics from school, I really find what you're doing so fascinating! Thanks for updating-- that was fun to read! But I think I need to go lay on the couch--everything you do makes me tired! Love ya and miss ya!
